The Illicit Still
Armed with a sound friendship, no money, a hatful of enthusiasm and the dream of owning a pub, Martin Rogerson and Brian Cunningham took over the ailing illicit still in 2007. Fast forward a few years, and this superbly named little bar is one of the best in Edinburgh, combining a fine selection of draughts and malts with a genuine passion for social media and an unconventional willingness to show Eastenders on the big screen as well as rugby.
