Audio Tweets

As promised, we're going to start releasing audio extracts from this year's West Port Book Festival. To get you warmed up, here are some audio tweets courtesy of our podcasting guru, Colin Fraser.

First up is living legend, Jim Haynes. Flaneur, writer, publisher, former bookshop owner and host to thousands over the years he's spent welcoming strangers to his Parisian atelier for Sunday dinner, his life is more spectacular than most.

Here, Jim talks about the Traverse Theatre, Edinburgh. Jim founded the Traverse Theatre Club in the swinging 1960s. http://chirb.it/wObxsq

Next up is Mia Gallagher, who came over to take part in our innovative Irish Catullus event. It was a Saturday night to remember in Edinburgh's West Port! We are all crossing our fingers that the Irish Catullus, an innovative work that draws on the skills of some seventy-five writers, will be published next year. Here, Mia reads one of her translations. http://chirb.it/mHrBH1

And last but by no means least, is our lovely local boy Mike Stocks. Mike is a poet, novelist, translator and the founding editor of Anon poetry magazine. Here he reads one of his poems, 'Two Boys' http://chirb.it/7saLEz
