Christmas events

As rashly promised earlier this year, we have organised a couple of Christmas events.

friday 12th december

Make your own Christmas presents!

Our fabulous bookbinder, Isabelle Ting, will be hosting some Japanese Stab Binding workshops. Although this sounds a bit violent, we’re sure that the evening will be full of good will and Christmas cheer. There are more than 2000 variations of this simple technique, so if you think you know it all, think again.

Times

  • 4.30pm - 5.30pm – Children’s session (7+).
  • 6pm - 6.30pm - Stab Binding
  • 7pm - 7.30pm - Stab Binding

Please bring along papers for covers: wrapping paper is good, nothing too thick or thin. Most fabric is hopeless, so leave that at home. Book cloth and buckram will be available for purchase.

Donations of £3 to the Australian Koala Foundation would be greatly appreciated.

  • 8pm - 9.30pm - Bring all your paper scraps and cards and learn how to make them into beautiful little books, courtesy of some simple sewing techniques.

Donations of £5 to the Australian Koala Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
