Book Marks
Thursday – Sunday, Main Point Books and Evolution House, ECA
Illustration students from Edinburgh College of Art have worked with Main Point Books to produce a series of illustrations to be exhibited in Evolution House and Main Point Books throughout the West Port Book Festival. ‘Book Marks’ has been a creative collaboration which shows visual and vivid interpretations of paperback novels, mainly from the 1960s and 70s, given by Main Point. (Each artist received a sealed envelope containing a book, making the process of selection completely random). The exhibition will show the books, each with its illustration and book mark. This is part of an ongoing collaboration between Main Point and ECA Illustration Department.
Hidden Edinburgh
Thursday – Sunday, Old Town Bookshop
An exhibition of original oil, watercolours, lithographs, prints and sketches of some of the more unusual or unseen aspects of the city, in the lovely Old Town Bookshop, on Victoria Street. The artworks are mainly works by local Edinburgh artist and bookshop proprietor, Ron Wilson.
